Who Needs a Visa?
Nationals and citizens of countries that have not reciprocated Namibia’s visa exemption must apply for a visa to enter Namibia.
Visa on Arrival – Fee Structure
- African Countries: NAD 1,200 (≈ USD 70)
- Other Countries: NAD 1,600 (≈ USD 90)
Examples of Countries Requiring Visa on Arrival
African Countries (NAD 1,200): Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, CAR, Chad, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Togo, Tunisia, Western Sahara Republic & Uganda.
Other Countries (NAD 1,600): Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA, etc.
Visa-Exempt Countries (All Passport Holders)
Angola, Botswana, Brazil, Cuba, Eswatini, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Macau (China), Malawi, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
Diplomatic/Official/Service Passport Exemptions Include:
Algeria, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Turkey, United Nations Laisser-Passer holders, and others.
Visa on Arrival – Ports of Entry
Visas can be processed at the following ports:
- Hosea Kutako International Airport
- Walvis Bay Harbour & Airport
- Lüderitz Harbour & Airport
- Katima Mulilo, Oshikango, Mohembo, Ngoma, Noordoewer, Oranjemund, Impalila, Trans-Kalahari, Ruacana, Katwitwi
E-Visa NOT available at:
Dobe, Gobabis Airport, Grootfontein Airport, Kasika, Keetmanshoop Airport, Mata-Mata, Klein Manasse, Mpacha, Rundu, Sarusungu, Singalamwe, Veloorsdrift, Ondangwa Airport, Nkurenkuru.
How to Apply – Visa on Arrival (In-Person)
- Complete the visa form (provided on flight or at immigration counter)
- Submit documents at immigration
- Pay visa fee
- Receive visa on-site
E-Visa Application (Recommended)
- Visit: https://eservices.mhaiss.gov.na
- Register and log in
- Select “Visa on Arrival Application”
- Complete all details
- Upload passport scan 2MB and have ready an up-to-date photo of your face 300KB
- Make online payment
- Download and print your E-Visa to present at entry
Required Documents
- Passport (valid 6+ months, 3 blank pages)
- Return or onward ticket
- Proof of accommodation or full itinerary
- Proof of funds
- Travel/health insurance
- Invitation letter (if applicable)
- For minors: full birth certificate and parental consent letter
